Bill Introduced to Limit the Governor’s Powers During a State of Emergency

HJ513. Introduced by Del. Wilt (R, 26th District). This bill limits the authority of the Governor to issue an executive order declaring a state of emergency that restricts, limits, or prohibits otherwise lawful action by a private business, nonprofit entity, or individual for a period more than 45 days in duration without approval by the General Assembly.
Will Dems allow this to pass out of committee and come to the House floor for a vote? Or, will they choose tyranny at the hands of the governor?
