The Northam Administration is still running away from discussion of the Transportation and Climate Initiative, the proposed carbon tax and gas rationing compact that will cost families $700 a year, says Thomas Jefferson Institute Senior Fellow Steve Haner (here).
Funds from that carbon tax won’t go to road construction but to things like Electric Vehicle subsidies and George Will notes that existing federal tax credits go to the wealthy, with only one percent for households earning less than $50,000 (here).
New Hampshire has already pulled out and even reliably liberal Connecticut has taken a pass. Northam, meanwhile has ducked the tough issues about TCI. Check out the Jefferson Institute’s short video on TCI here. And you can sign the petition to “Just Say No” here.
