HB421 Control of firearms by localities. Grants localities authority to adopt or enforce an ordinance, resolution, or motion governing the possession, carrying, storage, or transporting of firearms, ammunition, or components or combination thereof in the locality.
This essentially repeals the pre-emption laws currently in place that prohibit localities from placing restrictions not imposed by the state. It will also create a patchwork of laws throughout the Commonwealth that will be extremely confusing as one travels from county to county.
