Monopoly Teacher Union Contracts Coming to PWC Schools?

In Prince William County, where the teachers union claims it has 5,000 signatures in support of a proposal that could lead to monopoly union contracts, the school board has said “No” to the notion of either accepting the union’s word for it or turning over confidential data to a third party (here), and wants to verify the data itself. Teachers seeking liability insurance frequently sign up with the teachers union, and are rarely told about alternatives, or that the act of signing up builds a reliable political force for the Left. The Jefferson Institute’s VATeacherChoice.com program seeks to inform them through videos that let teachers know about alternatives (here) or remind them of union political activity (here), or through flyers reminding them of their rights (here).
