Legislation to help combat elder abuse was recently signed into law in Virginia. The legislation would establish framework for multidisplinary teams to be assembled and would be tasked with reviewing cases of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation cases, according to a news release. The legislation was sponsored by Delgate Todd Pillion, R-Abingdon, and state Senator Ben Chafin, R-Galax.
